Set in the shadow of Easby Abbey, St. Agatha's is famous for its 13th century wall paintings.  There is a replica of the Easby Cross, the original now in the Victoria & Albert Museum, London is described by Pevsner as"the finest piece of Anglo Saxon sculpture in the county".

A wonderful place to worship!! . St Agatha was founded on a site that has been a holy place for centuries and there is a real sense of God's presence in our well-maintained church. The marvellous Medieval wall paintings take your breath away!

St Agatha's has become a most desired place for weddings and is a much sought after venue.  We no longer hold weekly services in St Agatha's instead we gather at special times during the church year, beginning with our Palm Sunday Service, where we follow the donkey down from Easby Hall to the church, we often have a bring and share lunch if it is not too cold.  The young people sleep over on Easter Eve, after the vigil service, we then celebrate the first Eucharist of Easter within the grounds of Easby Abbey with our Methodist Brothers and Sisters, followed by a shared breakfast.  We hold a thanksgiving service in May, when we thank those who have served in the parish in the past and those who continue to serve today.  We hold various concerts throughout the spring and summer, of which our summer celebration service takes a major part.  During Advent, we have a service to bless the Christmas Tree and a Blue Christmas Service, for those who find Christmas a difficult time of the year, then on Christmas Day we celebrate the Eucharist at 8am as the saints who have gone before us have previously done. 

Sadly St Agatha's has no running water, which means we have no toilet, the nearest public toilets are in Richmond at the Station Cinema complex. 

The church has level access and is just a short distance from the nearby small public car park.
